Bourbon Street Mass Shooting Suspect Caught in Mississippi
NEW ORLEANS, La.- You may have heard about the mass shooting on Bourbon Street Sunday, now police have arrested 20-year-old, Trung T. Le and they caught him in Mississippi.
He was arrested Friday, and police believe at least two people fired shots before fleeing Bourbon Street. Police think he was the first one to open fire on the people walking around the busy street.
Le faces charges of First Degree Murder in the death of Brittany Thomas, and nine counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. Ten people were shot, Thomas was the only one killed.
As of Thursday evening, only one victim remained hospitalized. Seven victims have been treated and released, while one refused any treatment.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in obtaining any photos or videos taken of the incident or any photos or videos taken from the French Quarter on the night of the incident to be sent to NOPDTIPS@nola.gov.
