OXFORD, Miss.–The annual Double Decker Arts Festival kicks off tonight in Oxford with dozens of vendors getting ready for the weekend.
This will be the 18th straight year that festival has provided patrons with fun on the Oxford Square.
According to the Double Decker website over 170 arts and crafts vendors will be showing their goods bright at early Saturday with tents lining the downtown area.
Not to be out down there is plenty of music to enjoy on Saturday with the headline band “Drive By Truckers” to go on stage at 8:30 p.m.
The weather has been a concern to some that know the forecast is calling for more than a 50% chance of rain but event organizers put out a release on the website saying that all plans are to go on as scheduled at this point.
No severe weather is expected with any of the precipitation this weekend.
