Double Shooting Leaves One Sister Injured, The Other Dead


JACKSON, Miss.–Two sisters were shot Monday in the capital city and it may have been an attempted murder-suicide. Melinda Pace, 58, was found dead when Jackson cops got to the scene shortly before 2 p.m. Her sister was injured, but still alive.

The living sister was taken to the hospital in critical condition. She had a gunshot to the head. Investigators said she would be charged with murder.

Detectives on the case said they were still trying to find out what led to the shooting.
