JACKSON, Miss.–It’s looking like a wet weekend in the Magnolia State. The latest data from the National Weather Service shows storms moving in Friday night and a chance of storms through Monday for most of the area.
The first place to see shower activity will likely be the Delta and north Mississippi. There’s a 50/50 shot at storms overnight and that increases as Saturday dawns.
Central also has a good shot at showers overnight, with storms Saturday and Sunday.
South Mississippi and the coast will see the best rain chances starting Saturday afternoon. Rain may not clear out until Monday for central and south parts of the state.
Temps will range from the mid 70s to low 80s from north to south, respectively today. It’s likely to be in the low 80s Saturday all around.
